THANK YOU!  With your help and support I won re-election to the Seattle City Council! 

Running two campaigns in two years is challenging and expensive. I really appreciate your help.  

As a longtime neighborhood leader, my goal has been to represent and advocate for the unique communities that define our city.  I’ve chaired the Economic Development and Neighborhoods Committee and I’m proud that I took my committee meetings out of City Hall and into the neighborhoods, holding evening meetings more convenient for working people.  I’m proud of the work I did to make sure we invested in critical local transportation and safety projects.  I’m proud that I was able to deliver for our neighborhood libraries, community centers, and business districts. 

My goals for the coming term are about creating opportunity, supporting innovation, and giving everyone a chance to live in a city that is affordable, safe, and sustainable.  It seems trite to state the obvious in this way, but the truth is that we are losing ground in our city in these three areas.  

I love this job and I’m excited about our plans to make Seattle a better and more affordable place to live. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to put those plans into practice over the next four years.
